Sharing, Part 1

I’ve been meaning to add more of my writing here, but things just didn’t work out for a while. Plus I was a bit lazy and not trying hard enough to make so I actually could add more.

But here’s a little more. I have lots & lots of bits and pieces of many stories. Most I want to finish soon–as in this year and next.

I’ve been getting encouragement and actual help for years. My friends on Facebook have been my primary source of aid, inspiration, and support for many years. My family – of course – has been there with me through the years. They cheer me on in a more practical sense.

Just last week I joined a “new” group/site for young writers. True, I’m a few years older than their age limit usually allows. But they made an exception for me–many thanks to the admins of YWW for “letting me in”, so to speak.

They’ve been a huge source (don’t you just hate seeing the same word used over and over and over again?) of encouragement, support, inspiration, strength, & much more. I honestly am not sure what I would do without them.

I want to share my writing with others. I’m quite certain at least some of it is worth your time. I’m thinking I should just add bits and pieces to my blog and that way you can get free reading material.

Now don’t get me wrong. Just because it’s free doesn’t mean it’s no good. I’ve downloaded several free ebooks from a site that shares deals and some of them are worth it. I don’t always download just the free ones, though.

The world is full of people looking to make a profit. Not just give, but get. They want to have everything their way. Believe me, when the word free is placed in front of me, I seriously consider it.

After all, I’m not rich – not even close – but I also have standards by which I live. Otherwise, I’m just like the guy who begs for food but does nothing to improve his life.

But I don’t want to be that way. I want to make a difference. I want to help people. I want to – in some small way – be an inspiration.

This blog will hopefully be a source of encouragement & inspiration for many people. Including myself.

I want to put something here, but I'm not sure what to write.
